If you cannot work due to chronic illness in the Isle of Man, you will receive

£63.75 per week
  • Chronic illnesses include:
    • Parkinson's Disease
    • Multiple Sclerosis
    • Alzeimer's Disease
  • People with these illnesses will be forced to stop work at some point
  • Any benefit they receive is means tested
  • They are subject to regular reveiws where they must demonstrate that they remain chronically ill.
  • Chronic illnesses are those which, by definition, get worse with time
  • The conditions this group are dealing with are incurable
  • The current incapacity benefit available to the chronically ill is £63.75 per week
  • Some recipients cannot claim any supplemental benefits
